R2bees, 2face, Toya Delazy, Iceprince and others nominated for 2013 BET Awards
Ghanaian music duo R2Bees were on Tuesday announced as one of six nominees in the Best International Act category of the 2013 BET Awards. Their nomination comes almost a year after another Ghanaian act Sarkodie capped his and Ghana’s first ever award at the prestigious scheme, instituted years ago by the renowned network. R2bees come up against a rather stiff competition in 2Face, and Ice Prince from Nigeria, South Africa’s Toya Delazy, and Donald and Radio and Weasel from Uganda. This year’s finals will be held on June 30, live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be hosted by Rush Hour star Chris Tucker.
