‘Greedy men’ is an advocacy song, not to push any political agenda- Stonebwoy explains
Award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy has revealed that despite the public perception that his brand new single “Greedy Men,” is to attack politicians in the country, that is not the case.
On “Greedy Men,” the Bhim Nation boss, addresses social issues affecting the country’s development, citing poor leadership, “galamsey,” corruption, child labor, and many more.
Since the release of the song, there have been widespread speculations that the song is to push a political agenda.
However, explaining his reasons for the song in a recent interview, Stonebwoy explained that the song is an advocacy song meant to highlight some of the challenges Ghanaians are facing.
“My greedy men song is meant to make you think. It’s about some challenges that Ghanaians face. What inspired that title is that there are both men and women who are supposed to help curtail these things but there are people in positions who know but they will not. These are the people I refer to as Greedy men. There should be no political threats whatsoever. This is an advocacy song. When you pay attention to the lyrics of the song. I am not, I repeat fighting anyone who is trying to get his or her daily bread. I’m only advocate f for the people,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy just touched down London to kickstart his “Anloga Junction” UK tour.
