Dbanj, Rita Dominic, Joseph Benjamin named most stylish Nigerian celebs at at FAB Night Out

Nigeria’s brightest stars were celebrated at a night of extravagant music and style in what has become the most highly anticipated lifestyle awards in the country, FAB Awards. The event, hosted by comedian Basketmouth and sultry Beat FM OAP, Toolz, held at the prestigious Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, and witnessed attendance from the cream of high society who thronged the venue to support their favorite artistes. Winners who emerged after a closely monitored voting process facilitated by both the voting public and judges, included multi award winning act, D’Banj (Most Stylish Male Artiste) Rita Dominic (Most Stylish Actress of the year) Joseph Benjamin (Most Stylish Actor of the Year) Bella Naija (On-line publication of the year) and others. Speaking at the event, Mr. Familusi Akin-Babajide, the organizer of the yearly FAB awards, expressed gratitude at the level of support and appreciation shown by fans and the media as well as at the high turn out at the event. Speaking further he said, “FAB Awards started as a dream, one borne out of a desire to recognize and appreciate outstanding Nigerian stars who are doing great things in the entertainment industry ie, fashion, music, movies, media etc. “It’s been an amazing three years so far, we owe so much to our supporters and sponsors who have encouraged us every step of the way -especially through some challenging times- and stood by us right up to this point in time.” “Over the years, people have come to expect only the very best from FAB, we’re happy at the confidence and trust placed on us and intend to surpass their expectations.” D’Banj, who recently garnered a Channel O award and took home the Most Stylish Artiste of the Year Award, noted that the organizers of FAB Awards had done much to raise the standard of fashion, music and entertainment in the country. “Every year, FAB Awards always seeks a way to celebrate the Nigerian artiste. It’s always an inspiring time and I’m very glad to be part of it, the entertainer enthused. Performers who thrilled the audience were Sage, Mo’Eazy, Eldee and Sojay. Other performers include K9, Ajebutter Seyi Shay, Aramide, Zaina amongst others. Others winners at the event included Bunmi Ademokoya (Female Model of the Year) Francis Nwodu (Male Model of the Year) The BeatFM (Radio Station of the Year) Steve Onu, (OAP of the Year) MoChedda (Most Stylish Female Artiste of the Year) and more. FAB Awards held its third edition on December 2, 2012 with over 1000 guests in attendance. 26 Awards and 3 lifetime achievement awards were given to deserving individuals who have distinguished themselves in their professions.
