Ghanaian Celebrities Celebrate Independence Day With Stunning Photos

Today, March 6, 2023 marks the 66th anniversary of Ghana’s independence from colonial rule on March 6, 1957.

Many, including a host of celebrities, social media influencers, singers, actors,  actresses, journalists, media personalities and statesmen have flooded social media with stunning pictures representing the beautiful colors of the Ghana flag in a bid to commemorate this day.

All these celebs added very captivating captions to the photos they shared online to the mark the day. Some, also took to social media to express their own views about the country.

This year’s Independence day event was held at the Volta Regional Youth Resource Centre, located at Adaklu-Tsrefe, near Ho, on the theme: “Our Unity, Our Strength, Our Purpose”.

President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau, who is also the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), was the Special Guest of Honour. Meanwhile, the national parade which used to be held at the Black Star Square, with similar parades across the country in the regional and district capitals, has since 2019 been rotating around regional capitals.
