Reigning “Artiste of the Year” at the 2022 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), KiDi has turned a deaf ear to naysayers who think he didn’t deserve the award.

On May 7th, the “Golden Boy” was crowned the overall “Artiste of the Year” at the 23rd edition of the award show.

Just like every other award, fans of other artists who were nominated in the category believe strongly that they deserved it more than KiDi.

Responding to such comments in a recent interview with Ameyaw TV at his unveiling as KFC Ghana’s Brand Ambassador, KiDi explained that it’s normal for fans to feel that way.

“You know it is normal, every award show all over the world, the fans always want their favourites to win,” he stated.

He continued jokingly;

“I’ve taken the thing already. If it belongs to you, come and take it,”
