stonebwoy 1 Stonebwoy is excited over the fact that Jemere Morgan’s ‘Transition’ album, which he featured on, is now number 2 on the Billboard Reggae Album chart.  Stonebwoy was featured on  track 8 of the album titled ‘A.C.B’.

Jemere Morgan, the grandson of Morgan Heritage’s frontman Gramps Morgan, is a talented musician whose musical career blossomed and matured forefront on a worldwide stage. Fans of the Grammy award-winning  Morgan Heritage have seen Jemere transition in front of their eyes. From a pubescent teen to a young man he remained a frequent fixture on stage with his family, and in the recent years, performing alongside and as a featured act. The latter has manifest and culminated in Jemere Morgan debut album, appropriately titled Transition.

British Ghanaian singer, Mark Asari featured on ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ soundtrack

This album, Transition, represents the current phase in my life, transitioning into becoming a man. I’ve been working on this album for the past three years, handpicking each sound down to the melodies of each record. Music and the artist should be one, and if the beat doesn’t connect to me, I’m on to the next track. So, that’s how I picked the tracks for the album. ” Jemere told reggaeville.com of his inaugural album.

This is not the first time a work by a Ghanaian or featuring a Ghanaian has appeared on the Billboard Reggae Album chart. In 2015, Rocky Dawuni’s album ‘Branches of the Same Tree’ has  just hit the Billboard Charts at number on the Reggae Album Chart at number 10. That album also got nominated for a Grammy in 2016.Transition
