“Join me in another DumsorMustStop vigil” – Yvonne Nelson urges Ghanaians
Award-winning actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has called on fellow Ghanaians her to join her in a forthcoming campaign against the ongoing power cuts, ‘dumsor’.
Recalling the successful protest she led in 2015, she seeks to mobilize public support once more to tackle the persisting power crisis. In an open letter shared on social media, she extends an invitation to Ghanaians, organizations, and legal professionals, stating, “Together we can make our voices heard and compel our leaders to prioritize the needs of the Ghanaian people.”

Yvonne Nelson emphasizes the significance of unity beyond political lines in addressing the issue effectively, stating, “The fight against Dumsor transcends political affiliations, and we must unite as Ghanaians to address this issue.” Despite efforts to engage past supporters, including key figures from IMANI Ghana, such as Kofi Bentil and Franklyn Cudjoe, she notes, “I am yet to receive a response regarding their interest in supporting another vigil,” she shared.
