LilWin ‘disappointed’ by public perception following accident resulting in 3-year-old boy’s death

Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as ‘LilWin,’ voiced his frustration over the public’s reaction to his tragic accident on May 25, 2024, which led to the death of a 3-year-old boy.

During an interview at the Believers Worship Centre on July 1, LilWin criticized the media’s portrayal of the incident, claiming it made it seem as if he had intentionally caused the accident. He denied allegations of reckless driving, emphasizing that the accident was not intentional. “There are a lot of things about a car; it’s a machine. It doesn’t matter if it’s brand new. Anything can happen,” he said. LilWin expressed his sorrow for the victims and frustration with the media for suggesting he deliberately caused the collision.

The incident, which took place just hours before the premiere of LilWin’s movie ‘A Country Called Ghana,’ led to his arrest on June 3, shortly after his discharge from Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The actor stated, “They made it seem like I had a telescope, saw a child in the car, and decided to kill him,” reflecting on the harsh media narrative. He reiterated that the accident was not intentional and that he was deeply saddened by the loss of the young boy.
