Michael Blackson reveals Gambo is now under his management; Plans to sign him to RocNation or Def Jam

America based Ghanaian Comedian and actor, Michael Blackson has revealed he is now in charge of the management of Ghanaian rapper, Gambo.

Blackson’s official announcement comes following a series of social media posts where the two were seen hanging out together.

All through the Super Bowl weekend in the US, Blackson was seen hanging out with Gambo, introducing him to people and promoting his music as well.

In an official announcement video posted today on his socials, Blackson officially announced that Gambo was going his management label, “Blackson Management.”

“Afrobeats is taking over the world. In fact, I’ve started my own management company called Blackson Management. I’ve got one of my first Ghanaian artist here, Gambo, Blackson introduced while beckoning him to “come and and say hello to my guys.”

“Meet Ghana’s 🇬🇭 next star @gambo_ii he’s hardworking, God fearing and captures any and every audience attention with his stage presence,” Blackson captioned the video on Instagram.

Explaining his reason for trying to push Ghana music to an international level, Blackson stated that Nigeria has so many internationally acclaimed artists, while Ghana can boast of only four.

“Nigeria has all the stars. On the other hand, Ghana is becoming the Dubai of Africa and we only have four people in that whole country and I’m like let me make that fifth person- that’s Gambo,” he stated.

Gambo, who is seen in the announcement video, walked up to the mic, introduced himself and stated;

“It’s a pleasure being here and I come bearing gifts,” he said while holding a Ghana flag.
