Mr Drew’s song theft scandal: Singer cautions critics against dragging Stonebwoy and his fans

Singer Mr Drew has finally broken his silence after he was accused of song theft.

Few days ago, The Highly spiritual music signee had his song ‘Eat’ featuring Stonebwoy, taken off all streaming platforms over copyrights issues involving Nigerian/American singer Rotimi.

Addressing the issue in a video he posted on social media, he apologized to his fans for his wrongdoing and begged that people should stop involving Dancehall star Stonebwoy and his fans to the scandal.

Mr Drew said, Stonebwoy after recording his verse on the song advised him to reach out to  Rotimi – the originator of the song, before releasing a cover of his ‘Love Riddim’

The ‘Dwe’ singer claimed his “publisher failed to do that”

Before Drew’s video,  Highly spiritual music had released a press statement address the issue. They claim “there was a little miscommunication”
