19Jun Evicted LRG 5f4a63e0 a1b9 4d81 b4a1 3f2f6cb8bd43Sunday evening’s Big Brother Amplified live eviction show registered the season’s biggest number of votes from across Africa. With several strong characters up for eviction, it was clear that everybody was voting to keep his/her favourite in. Ethiopia’s Danny Danny received the least country votes, and was evicted. There was a two-way tie with both Nic and Luclay receiving 2 country votes each. For this reason the tie-breaking mechanism was used. On a percentage basis, Luclay was returned to the Tails House, and Nic was evicted. In true IK fashion, Kim was the first one to be asked to stand, followed by Danny then IK told her she had been saved but her beau, Nic, was still awaiting his fate. Kim couldn’t help herself, she screamed on top of her voice before breaking down. The calm Ethiopian Housemate seemed puzzled at first but Alex quickly snatched him and gave him a long hug while Luclay just broke down.

Once on stage with IK, Danny thought it was just the girls who had nominated him but was shocked to see Alex on that list. Meanwhile, IK was back for the final announcement. Luweza clutched onto Karen after IK announced that she was safe then it was down to the two guys, Nic and Luclay. Luclay was relieved but it was time for Nic to say goodbye. Kim couldn’t help herself and waited for her beau outside then gave him the long hug goodbye. I suppose it dawned to Kim right there that Nic would actually find out that she too had put his head on the block.

The always smiling Danny was surprised to find out that Alex had nominated him along with the girl and for payback, he blew Alex fuse. Alex will have to have and kiss the closest housemate whenever another house mate laughs out load. Nic wasn’t very surprised at the people that voted for him and in fact expected his ‘love interest’ Kim to have voted for him because according to him, the couple had a rough patch that week. He blew a fuse to Luclay and anytime Big Brother makes and announcement, Luclay would have to jump and scream ‘Amplified!’

Here is how Africa voted:

Karen: 6 country votes – Nigeria, Angola, Rest of Africa, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia (31.65%)

Kim: 4 country votes – Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Malawi (25.11%)

Luclay: 2 country votes – South Africa, Botswana (18.06%)

Nic: 2 country votes – Kenya, Uganda (12.37%)

Danny: 1 country vote – Ethiopia (12.81%).
