Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill reignite beef with outrageous accusations

Meek and Nick

Nicki Minaj accused ex-boyfriend Meek Mill of abusing her in a wide-ranging, cross-platform public argument Wednesday.

“You beat your own sister and taped it. Spit on her & taped it. Kicked me in front your mother and sent her to the hospital,” Nicki wrote        in a profane tweet that ended asking Meek to “move on.”

Meek got into an argument with Nicki and her husband Kenneth Petty at a mall in West Hollywood, Calif., last month, part of  was captured on video.

The ‘Megatrone’ rapper,  took the beef online Wednesday afternoon, posting a picture of Meek and describing him as “obsessed” with her in an explicit tweet. The two broke up more than three years ago.

On her Instagram story, Nicki Minaj wrote “You a [clown emoji]. U do IT for likes. #TwitterFingers beat women, scared of men.” She also retweeted several fans who blasted Meek and added another profanity-laced tweet of her own.

At that point, Meek Mill fired back with his tweet

“The only way you can try to kill my career is to say I beat women,” Meek wrote. He then referenced Nicki’s brother, Jelani Maraj, who was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison on Jan. 27, 2020 for raping his then-11-year-old stepdaughter in 2015.

He followed up with a second tweet saying that he left Minaj because she knew about her brother’s actions.

Minaj then responded with the tweet accusing Meek of abusing her. She also didn’t take kindly to Meek dragging Maraj’s case into the argument.

“Imagine talking about an alleged rape of a child to hurt someone who wasn’t involved just so ppl can dislike me,” Nicki wrote.

Meek chose not to respond to that directly in what appears to be his final Nicki-related tweet for Wednesday.

Today, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inductees, Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees, and GRAMMY® Award-winning music legends The Isley Brothers proudly present their anxiously awaited new album, Make Me Say It Again, Girl THE ALBUM. It marks the duo’s first full-length LP since 2006 and thirty-first original album overall. Get Make Me Say It Again, Girl THE ALBUM—HERE.

To celebrate the arrival of the record, the group shared the music video for the new single “The Plug” [feat. 2 Chainz]. Watch the music video for “The Plug”—HERE. Finger-snaps punctuate the guitar-laden beat as a promise echoes, “If you need a little love ‘cause you ran out, sugar, you know I got it.” Meanwhile, iconic Atlanta hip-hop superstar 2 Chainz rolls through with a simmering soulful verse of his own. The accompanying visual translates this vibe seamlessly to the screen.

If you need love, these gentlemen have got “The Plug”…

They originally set the stage for the record with a recreation of The Isley Brothers classic 1975 love ballad, “Make Me Say It Again, Girl,” joined by none other than Beyoncé. It recently catapulted to #1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart, standing out as their first #1 since “Contagious.” It incited a flurry of critical applause from the likes of The FADER and Vulture who proclaimed, “For this one, Bey is out of Club Renaissance, trading lines with Isley over a smooth, polished track.”

Make Me Say It Again, Girl THE ALBUM places the pair’s classic sound in the spotlight for a whole new era. Whether it be the cinematic scope of “Long Voyage Home” or R&B escapism of “Disappear,” they lean into the hallmarks of their signature style with undeniable energy. They’ve also brought a few friends—both old and new—along for the ride. El Debarge and Earth, Wind & Fire team up with The Isley Brothers for the generational banger “There’ll Never Be,” while Rick Ross flexes with pure lyrical fire during “Biggest Bosses.” Elsewhere, Quavo and Takeoff ignite the irresistible and infectious “Keys To My Mind.”

Lil Blood shares The Book of Dawa (Deluxe) + new video “No Lies”

Lil Blood
Lil Blood, an influential figure in the Bay Area rap scene for over a decade, has just shared The Book of Dawa (Deluxe) and his new video for “No Lies”. The new single “No Lies” showcases Blood rapping about the inner workings of the Bay and detailing his long legacy in the area over bouncy, West Coast production. The video features Blood performing the dynamic track side-by-side with his crew, displaying the strong hometown ties he maintains in his city. With 4 new songs to the original The Book of Dawa tracklist, Lil Blood is looking to continue his momentum with the release of The Book of Dawa (Deluxe) and the visual for “No Lies”.

Lil Blood has been a fixture in the tight-nit Oakland rap scene for well over a decade. Blood is fresh off his first official release through EMPIRE, The Book of Dawa earlier this month, an album that highlights the dynamic sound he has developed, from contemplative verses to classic Bay Area party songs, and signals a rapper ready to display his growth, vision, and passion on the mic. After being fixated on the sounds of the Bay growing courtesy of the group 3X Krazy & Too $hort, as well as the raps of out-of-towners like Scarface and Juvenile, Lil Blood developed his own unique style meshing together this distinct conclave of influences. After a few years of operating as a feature-based rapper, including his memorable verse on J. Stalin’s “What I See”, Blood developed his own musical collective 3rd World. His breakout track arrived in 2012 with the song “Free Boski” (feat. Lil Goofy) that not only caught fire when it was released but is still a regularly-spun Bay Area party song and has recently gone viral on Tik Tok. In 2015, Lil Blood became a founding member of the West Coast supergroup One Mob alongside Mozzy, Lil AJ, Joe Blow & Philthy Rich. The group released their One Mob album in 2015, raising Lil Blood’s notoriety in hip-hop. Currently, alongside being a rapper, Blood runs his own podcast named Lil Blood TV where he hosts artists and creatives from all over the country––giving a homegrown platform in the Bay to promote their work and careers.
