Watch: Becca explains why she unfollowed NAM1 and only follows her husband on Instagram

Ghanaian singer, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, popularly known as Becca, has finally explained why she unfollowed Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) and others on Instagram.

The singer during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM disclosed that she was becoming an Instagram addict so the best way for her to control things was to unfollow people.

“Those who know me can attest that I use to spend more time on Instagram and when you are following people, you get an alert…anything they put on you will get alert. So, on a new year, I decided to make a resolution of spending less time on there because I was an addict. Sometimes I sleep at four to five AM. It was a cautious effort to control myself not to continuously be on Instagram so it was not out of any malice,” Becca told Andy Dosty.

According to her, she started following her husband after they got married just to show partnership.

“So deleting people on Instagram…these ten people was not of any malice…they are still my very good friends…but obviously, it is good to explain to people but I never had the opportunity. There was a point where I knew that I have to control things as an addict which was having an effect on my sleeping life,” she added.
