Ghanaian investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has joined the multitudes of voices who are not happy with the way things ended in a live interview on Accra FM between host Nana Romeo and Wendy Shay yesterday.
Nana Romeo has come under a lot of criticism after he confronted Wendy Shay yesterday in an interview on his show yesterday.
In the said interview, Nana Romeo asked Wendy if she and her manager Bullet were involved romantically.
Wendy however denied it as she has done many times in the past.
Nana Romeo also alleged that Wendy’s new song, “Emergency” was a love letter to Bullet.
After several back and forth and confrontation, Wendy Shay exited the show.
Speaking on the issue, the award-winning journalist questioned why the subject of romance between artistes and their managers is always directed at female artistes and not their male counterparts.
“Why should it be normal for male celebrities to sleep around with anyone they choose, but the media harass their female counterparts about their relationships? It’s very offensive and depressing, especially when it’s harder for women to a breakthrough in the industry than men.”
