Why we’ll never break up as music group – DopeNation explain

DopeNation, a Ghanaian musical group comprising twin brothers, B2 and Twist, have said they will never break up as a musical duo. They made this known in an interview with Ghanaweb at Black Sherif’s ‘Mozama Disco’ concert which happened Wednesday, 22nd December 2022.

Most musical groups have been known to break up for one reason or another no matter how successful they are together. La Meme Gang, One Direction, Destiny’s Child and even PSquare are notable groups that separated and went their own way. Even though PSquare have been able to squash whatever disagreement they had and have reunited, the split took a chunk of good years from their musical careers.

But for DopeNation, they don’t see themselves ever splitting up for whatever reason. As they have witnessed all the splits of big musical groups, they have taken lessons from each of them; hopefully that (lessons learnt) will keep them together for the long run.

“The fact that we are twins in the industry. We’ve shared a womb before, why can’t we share an industry? We are learning from everybody, and like you said, PSquare split, and they got back together.

These are amazing artistes. Their split caused a certain trend, people were worried about the group, and they came back together. As artistes, we’ve also learnt from it,” they said.
