The creative director responsible for Stonebwoy’s remarkable performance at the  25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), Elizabeth Efua Sutherland has revealed that the awe-inspiring stagecraft was completed in under a week.

It will be recalled that Stonebwoy’s exceptional performance during the 25th TGMA received widespread acclaim from those who witnessed the concert, with many showering praise on the creative director for her incredible work.

The ‘Therapy’ hitmaker stole the show that night with his breathtaking performance, dominating the social media conversation throughout the awards ceremony.

During an interview on ChannelOne TV (formally Citi TV)  Efua Sutherland made known that she received a last-minute call regarding the stagecraft for Stonebwoy’s performance.

“We had less than a week… We received the call quite late… Normally, I would require around 6 weeks to prepare such an act… It’s wonderful to see people appreciating the hard work,” she stated.

The creative director went on to express her enjoyment in working with “conscious artistes,” a quality she sees in Stonebwoy.

Efua is following in the footsteps of her legendary late grandmother, Efua Theodora Sutherland, who was a renowned playwright, dramatist, and poet.

The iconic Afro-Dancehall/Reggae artist performed songs such as “Manodzi,” which features multiple Grammy-award-winning songstresses Angélique Kidjo, and “Your Body,” an unreleased song. Stonebwoy won the Artiste of the Year award for the second time, as well as Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, and three other awards.
