Stonebwoy tops 2017 Bass Awards, Ebony Reigns wins Artist of The Year
Held at the National Theatre in Accra Thursday, the 2017 BASS Awards saw RuffTown’s Ebony Reigns crowned with the topmost laurel on the night — the Kwame Nkrumah Award (Artiste of The Year). The biggest winner on the night was however Stonebwoy with 4 gongs. Stonebwoy picked up the awards for Best Dancehall Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Dancehall Song of the Year, as well as Best Performer of The Year. Other winners on the night included Ras Kuuku, Rudebwoy Ranking, and MzVee. Ebony also walked home with the award for Female Vocalist of the Year. As Kuuku also bagged two nods including Reggae Artist of the year and Reggae video of the year. Performances on the night came from MzVee, Epixode, Jahlead, Patoranking, as well as MTN Hitmaker alumnus Xali Hali.
