Actress/TV host and wife of popular music trio Praye, Selly Galley has said that she is definitely not going to boycott this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) because of the fallout her husband and his group had with the organizers.

Praye called the VGMAs “fake” out of anger after they were not nominated in any of the categories for the 20th edition.

One would think that Selly Galley who is wife of Praye Tiatia and a frequent VGMA red carpet slayer, would stand in solidarity with her husband and boycott the awards.

However, speaking to Joy New’s MzGee at the recently held Ghana Makeup Awards, Selly Galley revealed that she was going to attend and look fab doing so.

“There’s no way I’m boycotting it because of what has happened. I’m going there and I’m going to look my best ever. I’m representing Praye,” she said.

When asked about what she thinks about George Quaye’s response to Praye’s claims, Selly added that she believed it was below the belt.

“…Isupport it a 100 percent. Praye is such a huge brand that it’s out of place for you to say that they are seeking attention with anything that they do. I mean these are legends. we breathe we sleep we eat Praye. I think its was way below the belt and I think they could have gone about it better,” she added.

Selly Galley however added that she believed Praye will definitely be involved in the VGMAs in the subsequent years.

“…I want to believe they handled it well. I don’t think its a personal feeling and i know they will be involved in the subsequent VGMAs that would happen,”

Selly also expressed strong feelings about supporting whatever her husband does saying, “I’ll always be biased when it comes to my husband and everything that he holds.”

Selly is not bothered about the backlash she will be facing if she dares appear at the VGMAs after everything that has transpired between the group and the organizers. She is ready to slay the day away.
