Private jets and more as Nigeria’s high and mighty attend wedding of late President Yar’Adua’s son
No fewer than 11 private jets have arrived Maiduguri, Borno state for the wedding of Shehu, son of former Nigerian president, Late Umar Musa Yar’Adua.
Shehu will today July 23 tie the knot with his bride, Yacine, daughter of Hon. Mohammed-Nur Sheriff.

Shehu, 29, obtained his first degree in Economics from the Schellhammer Business School, Spain, and a Master’s in International Relations from Webster University in the Netherlands.
The bride, Yacine, 22, holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.

‘A Country Called Ghana’ Grabs Nomination For 2024 Nollywood Film Festival In Germany
Ghanaian actor and musician, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win’s latest movie titled ‘A Country Called Ghana’ has gained a nomination and is scheduled to be screened at the 2024 Nollywood Film Festival in Germany.
The movie which was directed by Frank Fiifi Ghabin and Executively directed by Kwadwo Nkansah Lil win, is a Ghana-Nigeria collaboration, that sees some of the finest actors and actresses from the two countries to entertain and educate movie lovers about the need to preserve their heritage.
The movie project features Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, popularly known as ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp,’ Paa George, and Sweet Mimi, among others.
‘A Country Called Ghana’ aims to get a slot on Netflix and gain recognition globally, being nominated and screened at the Nollywood Film Festival is a significant achievement.
Nollywood Festival/NEGA Awards Germany is an annual event dedicated to showcasing the best of Nollywood to the German audience to Foster international trading and exchange opportunities in this largely untapped market.
The Year’s edition is scheduled to take place at GOETHE University, Purple Cinema, Mertonstr 26-28, in Frankfurt AM Main, Germany on August 3rd, 2024.

Ghanaian Artistes Need to Blend Our Local Language with English to Go Global Like Angelique Kidjo and Others – Edwardaganesh
Media personality Edwardaganesh, in his interview with Prudent on Guide Radio, stated that our lack of global recognition is due to most of our artistes singing in Twi, Ewe, and other local languages.
He also mentioned that to win Grammys, one must meet international standards. The Grammys are not just about numbers or money but meeting specific requirements. One must be eligible. He added that this is why Davido and Burna Boy receive nominations every year.
Edwardaganesh was born on Sunday, March 29th, 1998, in Konongo, in the Ashanti Region. He is a blogger, TV presenter, and publicist, currently working with Sista Afia and Efya Nokturnal. He is also the personal assistant to Felicia Osei of Onua TV.
Edwardaganesh started his career as an actor but decided to venture into other avenues to gain more profit in the industry and come into the limelight.
He is also a registered general nurse who graduated from the 37 Military Hospital Nursing and Midwifery Training College in 2022. He currently works as a social media handler and publicist.
