Women were angry that I wasn’t depressed after my breakup with Medikal- Sister Derby

Published

Ghanaian artiste, Sister Derby, has revealed that a lot of women were not happy that she was not sad and depressed after her breakup with rapper Medikal.

According to her, because she released her hit single “Kakalika” just in the middle of the breakup and was busy with the song promotion on social media, some women thought she was not angry enough about the whole situation.

“Other people or someone will go through a breakup and be depressed and be sad and then cry about it. A lot of people wanted me to see me go through. Sadly, a lot of women were angry that I was happy, I had a hit song and was doing promotions where I was giving out GH1000 every week because we were sponsored by someone who really loved the song and believed in the brand. I saw and heard that fellow women were angry…angry that I wasn’t depressed,” she told Sika Osei on the “Stripped” show.

Sister Derby explained that although it was a pretty nasty situation, she needed to make something positive out of it.

“No matter what life throws at you, make something positive from it…I won’t join people down there, come on,” she added.
