Ghanaian multi-award-winning rapper, Sarkodie has urged authorities in charge of Ghana’s December activities to spread the festive cheer throughout other parts of the country.

The capital city of Ghana, Accra has become a hub for major festivities during the December period, and has brought major players from around the world to the country.

While the bulk of the activities have been centred in Accra, the “No Pressure” rapper thinks it is crucial and significant to share the joy of the festive season with people in other parts of Ghana.

‘‘I think already we are doing enough and I think there could be more and we should spread the love across Ghana. It is Ghana not Accra, so we need to be thinking Kumasi, Tamale, all this place, we need to drag the diasporas to go see what Ghana is really about, but it is a great time and I think the government should really hold this and find ways to maintain this for a very long time,” he told SayIt TV.

Sarkodie also advised on how to make maximum use of the attention Ghana has achieved over the years and also encouraged stakeholders to come up with creative ideas to maintain the celebrations for an extended period of time.

‘‘I think with Ghana we normally get things organically but we need to strategically find a way to keep it because we can’t just leave it like that, it is a beautiful time, it is a magic moment , everybody is coming to my country, I am super proud but I think we need to find innovative ways to keep this momentum going and have a lot of activities happening,” he added.
