Dr. Olakunle Churchill Calls On Nigerian Youths Living in Ghana for Calm…says a ‘New Dawn’ is almost here
With the never-ending protest against bad governance and police brutality in Nigeria, renowned African Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and Humanitarian, the Chairman of Big Church Group and Big Church Foundation, Dr. Olakunle Churchill has joined the protest, calling on Nigerian youths living in Ghana to relax their anger because, “a new dawn and ray of hope is here”.
In a statement made few hours ago, Dr. Olakunle who recently touched down Ghana for business purposes reacted to the #EndSARS Protest which some section of youths living in Ghana had engaged in, and many more are anticipating – as it has fast attracted international worries and proactive interventions. He however called on the Federal Government to swing into action in other to address the requests of Youths across the nation…“properly” back home as well as extend credibility to the youths living in Ghana.
In his summation, he advised the Nigerian youths living in Ghana to be calm and avoid any form of protest once they have no permission from the Law Enforcement Office in Ghana, as well as stay out of trouble in times like this – as Elections is approaching in Ghana. Just like he is advocating for peace in his native hometown of Ondo State in Nigeria, where he promised to engage government in a round table discussion that will further provide resolute solutions to the agitations of youths.
The African Youth Leader has continued to advocate for active youth participation in governance and politics back home, using different channels of advocacy. He has for some time now, championed the cause of youth development and empowerment through his foundation and talk shows. He is presently also engaging international agencies and Institutions towards the support of youths in attaining good and responsive leadership in Nigeria.
We should be reminded that since the #EndSARS Protest commenced on 10th October, 2020, the situation in some parts of the country have been extremely violent, with series of attacks on peaceful and unarmed protesters, attacks on government infrastructures, killings of Police officers and other violent activities.
As a philanthropist, Dr. Olakunle has continued to support youths across Ghana, Nigeria, and Africa. He is throwing his full weight behind the teaming Nigeria youths living in Ghana – assuring them that with his capacity, he will ensure that peace and tranquility is at work, especially with the forthcoming Ghana elections.
