Hopeson Adorye comes to his wife defence, says those critiquing her want her

Ghanaian politician, Hopeson Adorye has come to the defence of his wife, gospel musician Empress Gifty.

Mrs Adorye has been in the news these past few weeks attacking critics of her choice of outfits and other matters rising.

Recently at the “Ashaiman to the World” concert, Empress Gifty’s choice of outfit and her performance was a subject on the internet as her followers critiqued her shaking of ass on stage amongst other things.

However, speaking in an interview on Accra-based OKAY FM Mr Adorye stated that those criticising his wife merely want her to themselves.

“When someone is doing her thing and people sitting
behind will be saying what they want. Those criticizing her want her,” he stated.

He continued; “We are moving forward. A mother of mine told me that if you don’t want someone to be popular, don’t talk ill about the person. When you say good things about people, they don’t hear it but immediately something negative is said about someone it flies easily.”
