Ghanaian Comedian, Kalybos has revealed his real reasons for throwing his weight begin the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2020 elections.

According to the actor, he was motivated by the policies that the NPP promised to implement when voted into power.

Kalybos explains that he was very much particular about the “free education” policy because it took off some of his burdens.

“I went ahead to campaign for the NPP Party because of certain policies that helped me…You will understand if you pay school fees. Even when I had not given birth, I was being bombarded with fees every September from family. So the policy (Free SHS) were things I felt if this can help me, I would rather help it to sustain,” he told Giovani Caleb on 3FM.

Kalybos, who was one of the celebrities who publicly campaigned for the NPP to be voted into power, explained that although he was not paid to campaign, he was lured in by the policies.

“No, I was not paid. I was going in for the policies. And it helped because, ever since that policy was implemented, now I could save money and enter it into different projects,” he stated.
