Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur has revealed that he was heavily influenced by Highlife Legend Kojo Antwi and his style of music.

The rapper professed he grew up listening to Kojo Antwi a lot, and was in awe of his penmanship.

‘‘So me at age 9,10,11 I wasn’t even thinking of making music a career path, yes but with regards to the people I was listening to, I will say Kojo Antwi, my auntie had a Kojo Antwi CD and I went to take it to my room and I played that over and over and over again,”  he said in an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV’s Breakfast Show.

The ‘‘Grind Day’’ hitmaker claimed that Kojo Antwi’s compositions, instrumentals, melodies and power over his craft are the most important things that drew him and inspired him.

‘‘I think his compositions, how his instrumentals sounded, the words he used , his melodies, they were really like heartfelt, I think the ‘Densu’ song, that song be very spiritual, I don’t know how he does it, like he has power over the music and he aims straight for your heart, I admire that about him,’’ he disclosed.
