The final funeral rites for musician Kuami Eugene’s father, Mr. Alexander Kwaku Marfo, begin today, 10 months after his passing.
Initially scheduled for October 2023, the burial at Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region was postponed after discussions between the family and the deceased’s children. The three-day event starts on May 17, with the laying in state on Friday, the burial service on Saturday, and the thanksgiving service on Sunday.
Kuami Eugene announced the death of his father in July 2024, though the cause of death remains undisclosed. Mr. Marfo, aged 75, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Juliana Marfo, and their children.
