8This Sunday, two contestants in the ongoing music reality show, MTN Hitmaker will be saying goodbye to the competition and the grand prize of GH¢100,000 album recording, distribution and marketing deal. Since this is the first of many evictions, no one wants to be part of the first batch of evicted contestants, so all of them are feverishly preparing to wow the crowd and judges at the next show in order to stay in the competition. Gospel singer, Nana Adobea said she is a bit nervous about the first eviction show but she is equally confident that her fans will not let her down. “Nobody knows what will happen so I am a little bit nervous but I am equally confident that I will not be evicted. I feel saddened about the imminent departure of two of my colleagues due to the friendship we have created in this house. I will miss them.” Mila, the only female rapper in the competition, is also very tensed up because “I don’t know what will happen. I know only one person is winning and I hope that is me but even if I don’t win I don’t want to get evicted at the first stage. I urge all my fans to continue voting for me because one vote can save me.” Earlier this week, rap legend, Okyeame Kwame paid a surprise visit to the contestant and took them through artiste management, stage craft, and image management. Feeling very anxious due to the upcoming eviction show, Kofi Korea, one of the contestants, praised Okyeame Kwame for stopping by the house and sharing his ideas and experience with them. “Okyeame Kwame has been around for well over 10 years and he is still getting bigger and better so he coming to talk to us was really good. I personally like Okyeame Kwame and I have watched his performance so many times and we thank him for the good work. He was so inspiring and educative.” Priznerz said they have learnt lot from Okyeame Kwame’s pep talk. “Okyeame explained issues pertaining record labels, hip hop ‘beef’ in the industry and how record labels manage their artiste and the problems the labels face. The talk has been very educational and inspirational. “We (Priznerz) will use the advice he has given to enhance our creativity and ingenuity on stage because we want to do what no one has done before in the industry. We want Priznerz to be remembered for their creativity on stage.”]]>
