The response to my “Best Rap Performance” award has been positive- Lyrical Joe

Reigning “Best Rap Performance” winner at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Lyrical Joe, has expressed the joy and gratitude winning the award has brought him and his fans world-wide.

The rapper, who has been in the game for the past eight years saw his work finally been rewarded at this years event.

Speaking to Rev. Erskine on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, Lyrical Joe expressed that he wasn’t expecting the award on the night, and was surprised when it came to him. 

He also shared that since winning the award, his fans from outside Ghana has come to appreciate his work more because he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves.

“The response has been positive especially the response from my fans outside Ghana. Most of my people outside are hitting me up and they’re like finally your people are putting you on as well. That’s something that I really feel good about,” he said.

Lyrical Joe was nominated in the “Best Rap Performance” category alongside  Sarkodie, Obibini, Strongman and TeePhlow.
