Balancing motherhood with a career can sometimes be difficult, however, it has not stopped many women from pursuing their careers.

Ghanaian actress, Fella Makafui, who started a family with rapper Medikal a few years ago, has shared that balancing taking care of her family and her acting career was difficult.

According to Fella, she almost gave up on acting three years ago because she was finding it difficult to balance the two.

“I think that it is one of the most difficult aspects of this job. At a point 3 years ago, I almost gave up on acting because I couldn’t balance it,” she revealed.

Fella Makafui who doubles as a businesswoman aside her acting career, explained;

”for the fact that I have to be on set, close as late as 11/12 pm, I’m like no, I don’t think this will really work and I was so much into my business because it was really picking up and making money so I was like okay if this one is giving me money, let me focus on this one.”

Fella, who is currently promoting her new series “Serwaa” adds that it took convincing from her husband, Medikal, to get back into acting.

”Since I got back it’s been okay. It was my husband who convinced me to get back. He said you should not give up on this and he is very understanding. We have a chef, we have a cleaner, we have people helping us, we are managing because this is the life I chose to live,” she added.
