United Kingdom’s undisputed Biggest Biceps (24 inches) and Adidas icon, Tiny Iron has set his sights on the eradication of domestic violence in Africa. Contrary to popular insinuations about well built, muscular men, Tiny Iron is actually a big softie teddy bear that cannot bear the thought of women being bullied.
The British born superstar of Ghanaian parentage, currently managed by UK-based E4 PR, is in the process of unveiling a blueprint on the fight against domestic violence. According to the CEO of E4 PR, Egor Efiok, “The Hollywood idol, Tiny, believes that being a man, coupled with his intimidating build, can serve as a deterrent against domestic violence”.
“Tiny’s popular slogan is “you wanna hit a woman? then come hit me in the boxing ring”, hinted Egor Efiok.
Born as Andrew Harrison, Tiny Iron famously dated R&B star, Rihanna, shortly after her highly publicised physical abuse by ex boyfriend Chris Brown. Tiny admitted, “I just wanted to protect her all the time. I mean, how can someone that big hit such a beautiful fragile lady like that?”
In addition, Tiny heads a star soccer programme for charity, won by the premiership players who go to inner city estates and feature in soccer competitions, thereafter the gate proceeds go to charity.
Although Tiny is a big star in Europe, he has never been to his motherland, Ghana, and this is one of his current ambitions which will at last send him to Ghana. The name Tiny Iron became popular as a result of Americans naming him ‘Tiny’ during his stint at USA as a bodyguard, coupled with a lot of people who often met him and exclaimed, “damn look at your arms, they’re hard as iron”.
What is more, his acting career began when trouble escalated in a night club in Mayfair where he was working way back in 2004. In the course of the trouble, Tiny dealt with the altercation and Vinnie Jones who witnessed the incident, approached Tiny and said, “Fancy being in a movie mate?” Tiny then responded “hell yeah”! And the rest as they say are history.
Tiny has featured in a number of films alongside an impressive cast of actors such as the likes of 50 Cents, Tamer Hassan, Pat Morita, Danny Dyer and Vinny Jones, to name a few. The Ghanaian descendant’s unique appearance and acting capabilities earned him a product endorsement/sponsorship deal with adidas, the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and also the second biggest sportswear manufacturer in the world.
Tiny was also the only British to be short listed for the role of B.A. Baracus in the movie, ‘The A -Team’. Amazingly, he has featured in 50 Cents’ music video, Hustler’s Ambition, and is the face of the G-Unit Reebok advert.
Tiny Iron was crowned as being the holder of Britain’s Biggest Biceps, at 24 inches on July 21, 2009, arriving to the ‘crowning’ equipped with the Original ‘A Team’ van.
Among other things, he has made appearances on a number of high profile events and wrestling shows in Europe and the U.S.A. and has his own bubblehead action doll figures and toy games to boast of, which are rivaling those of The Incredible Hulk!
Tiny starred in the movie, Dead Man Running, alongside 50 Cent and Tamer Hassan, which made waves in cinemas nationwide. The film premier took place on October 22, 2009 at The Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, in the UK.
He was joined on the red carpet by a number of celebrities including Mel B, Goldie, Jamelia, as well as members of the cast such as 50 Cent and Danny Dyer.
The adidas icon hosts his personal comedy hip-hop show on BBC and currently has a Bollywood movie coming out soon.
