John Painstil sues Countryman Songo, Saddick Adams, two others for defamation

Former Ghanaian international footballer and newly appointed assistant Black Stars coach, John Paintsil has taken legal action against four sports Ghanaian journalists and three media companies for defamation.

 

The four journalists sued by the former Blackstars player are Veronica Commey, Saddick Adams, Christopher Nimley and Patrick Osei Agyemang professionally known as Countryman Songo. Other defendants are Omni Media Limited, Angel Broadcasting Network, and Multimedia Group have been served with a writ.

The lawsuit stems from comments made by the defendants on a television show, where they purportedly made defamatory statements against Paintsil.
